Hyper-local community networks that turn scattered animal lovers into organized, efficient neighborhood units — right where the animals live.
The Problem
Thousands of community dogs and cats live inside our neighborhoods. Passionate animal lovers step up — but they work in total isolation, with no system, no coordination, and no support.
Uncoordinated feeding creates mess, attracts pests, and sparks resident complaints.
No centralized tracking means animals miss ARV and sterilization schedules, creating health risks.
Hundreds of street dogs face severe injury or death each year — invisible to drivers in the dark.
No shared system means duplicated efforts, wasted money, and burnout among volunteers.
How It Works
Each neighborhood Pod runs on a simple digital app for tracking dogs — backed by three ground-level pillars that keep the community organised and every animal safe.
The Digital App
Any Pod member photographs a stray dog in their area and uploads it to the community registry. Give them a name, describe their markings, and instantly add them to the neighbourhood's shared network.
Every member reports whether they've recently seen that dog in the area. This crowdsourced presence tracking gives the Pod a live picture of which animals are around, missing, or need urgent attention.
Once confirmed present by the community, the Pod Head officially maps the dog to the area. Mapped dogs are prioritised for consistent feeding, vaccination tracking, and reflective collar drives.
The Three Ground Pillars
Volunteers sign up for fixed morning or evening slots. Food is distributed at designated spots away from play areas and footpaths — eliminating mess and reducing neighbourhood complaints.
A centralised digital log for every tracked animal in the Pod area. Monitors health status, past injuries, and alerts the network for Anti-Rabies Vaccinations (ARV) and sterilisation schedules.
Every tracked street dog gets a durable, low-cost neon reflective collar — making them visible to vehicles from over 100 metres away. A simple step that drastically cuts down night accidents.
Implementation Roadmap
Start small, validate fast, then scale through student leadership networks across Bengaluru.
Phase 1 • Month 1
Launch our first operational pilot inside a single apartment complex or local street block — refining the roster system, optimizing feeding zones, and perfecting tracking templates.
Phase 2 • Month 2
Package our successful digital sheets, communication scripts, and local NGO contact directories (CUPA, CARE, BBMP vets) into a downloadable open-source starter toolkit — free for anyone.
Phase 3 • Months 3–6
Empower high school student leaders across Bangalore schools and layouts to deploy the toolkit and launch independent Pods in their respective communities.
Social Impact & Model
We operate as a self-sustaining social enterprise — no heavy capital required.
